IFR – IRI Flight Instructor Course

Goal

The purpose of the IRI training course is to exercise IFR flight instructor functions.

Pre-requisites

  • Valid first-class medical examination;
  • Valid IR rating
  • 800 hours of IFR flight time of which a minimum of 400 hours on aircraft or 200 hours of IFR flight time (max. 50 on simulator), if the candidate holds an FI rating;
  • 200 hours IFR of which 50 hours flight time, limited to FSTD instruction only.

Theoretical Course

35 hours of theoretical instruction.

For FI licence holders, 10 hours of theoretical instruction.

Practical Training

10 flying hours.

For FI licence holders, 5 flying hours.

Cessna C150 Aerobat and C172, Piper PA28 T, Mechtronix / Alsim FNPT II
