“AeroClub di Varese” was founded in 1948 and since then it has always had a primary role in training pilots in Italy. The “AeroClub” operates on Venegono Airport, which is only 10 miles far from Malpensa and 20 miles far from Linate in an aerospace class “G” in the crowded Milan TMA. In recent years the “AeroClub” has become one of the most important schools of flying thanks to a well organised, sure and constant activity of qualified flying trainers (recognised certification JAA I-FTO 003).
Our experience
The “AeroClub” has always been able to satisfy any kind and any quantity of requests. Our organisation is particularly flexible: with a short notice, it can be adapted to train either a small or a large quantity of student pilots. One of the most significant results the “AeroClub” has achieved is that 140 Alitalia pilots have obtained their flying licence here (62 licences of Private Pilot, 58 licences of Commercial Pilot with qualification IFR and qualification for turbo-prop engine/prop-jet engine).
Our flying trainers have been carefully selected: some of them have been working with national and international airlines. The high professional level we have reached leads us to continually improve our flying training programmes. On February 2001 we have obtained the qualification as JAA FTO which enables us to offer any kind of JAR-FCL courses according to the European standards.
Organisation and services
The organisation of the “AeroClub” is based on:
• a modern and efficient fleet of 13 aircraft including two C172SP, two C172 RG, four C172M, three PA28 Turbo Arrow, one PA32 Saratoga, one PA34-220T Seneca.
• Mechtronix Ascent flight trainer FNTPII/MCC
• flying trainers; theory trainers.
Our school can grant:
• Licence of Private Pilot PPL; Licence of Commercial Pilot CPL; Qualification IFR; Trainer qualification VFR/IFR; Licence of Airline Pilot;
• MCC courses (Multi Crew Coordination).
Moreover the “AeroClub” makes the following services available to student pilots:
• classrooms with multimedia and audiovisual systems;
• accommodations; different forms of payment.
